1990, age 13 - ‘Hilden Hurricanes’ hockey jersey
I used to live in a small town called Hilden in Nova Scotia. My parents still live there. When we were kids, me and my pal Mike Field invented hockey teams for a game we played. Being the ambitious kids that we were, we even designed our jerseys.
I apparently didn’t know the difference between a hurricane and a tornado. Regardless, this might be considered my very first “logo design”.
1988, age 11 - Commando, wrestler
Here’s another wrestler originally drawn in 1988, Commando, who made a comeback 10 years later.
1988, age 11 - Skull, wrestler
Since grade 5, me and my childhood pal Mike Field rebooted our make-believe wrestling federations a couple of times. Each time we would re-draw our favorite characters from the previous version. Seen here is Skull, first drawn in 1988 and I brought him back 10 years later in 1998.
